Christmas in the Village

The Albion STAR Team is happy to support the Albion Chamber of Commerce as they bring Christmas in the Village back to downtown Albion this year! Find details and register below to participate in the 2021 Christmas Light Parade.


Friday, December 3rd, 2021 4:00 to 8:00 PM

On the Square, Downtown Albion


This year's theme for is "Christmas Memories". Parade entries are encouraged to think about favorite Christmas memories and represent them in lights, characters, and decorations.


Holiday Shops

Shop with guest vendors and boutiques from 4-7 PM, hosted by Hometown Mix (118 E Main), The Fox Den (100 E Main), and The Strand (106 W Main).


Tree Lighting

Lighting of the Christmas Tree on the courthouse lawn will take place after the Light Parade at approximately 7 PM, following the parade. The tree is located on the northeast corner of the courthouse lawn, across from the Shell station.


Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus

Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet children and families following the tree lighting ceremony. Doc's Rentals will be hosting Santa. Doc's Rentals is located at 107 E. Jefferson Street, across from Doc's Hardware.


While visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus, be sure to enter to win a Golden Ticket while visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus. You could win one of four $25 Be Noble Gift Cards redeemable at multiple Albion merchants and businesses, and more across Noble County.


Live Reindeer

The Noble County Public Library is sponsoring an exhibit of live reindeer. Visit them downtown from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

Registration

All parade entries must register either by mail (download form) or online. The deadline had been set for November 22, 2021, however late entry requests can be made by calling Tammy at (260) 609-6186.


Entries

Horses and wagons will line up at the Noble County Saddle Club on SR 8 at the east edge of Albion. Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles will line up at the Albion Fire Station.


Entries in the parade may not include Santa or Mrs. Clause characters (because the real Mr. and Mrs. Clause are already scheduled to appear at the end of the parade). Entries promoting political campaigns or candidates are also not permitted.


Walkers may pass out candy along the parade route, but throwing candy from moving vehicles is not permitted.


Parade line-up Line-up will begin at 4:45 PM on the west side of the Central Noble Schools campus on Cougar Court. Participants should use E. Jefferson and/or E. Highland Streets to approach the line-up area. Those needing to park and ride may use the parking lots on the east side of the school campus.
