It's fall! That means the scarecrows are back in Albion and it is time to vote for a People's Choice Winner and plan to bid to win your favorite at the upcoming Scarecrow Auction on October 29th!
Eleven hand-crafted scarecrows can now be seen decorating the courthouse square, each with an entry number attached. The community is encouraged to vote for their favorite(s). Two options are available for voting - in person and electronically online:
Find the voting bins located at the Pizza Depot on the east side of the courthouse square and submit a penny per vote (no limit) for your favorite(s).
See the gallery of scarecrows on the Albion STAR Team website and vote electronically for your top favorite (sorry, only one vote per IP address online).
Votes will be tallied up on Friday afternoon, just ahead of the auction of the scarecrows. The auction begins at 5 PM to kick off Scare on the Square. Gather at the Police Booth to participate. Cash or check only, please.
All proceeds support the Albion STAR Team in their mission to bring events and vibrancy to the downtown and preserve and celebrate the historic district.
